Why we ask for notifications

No spam. No daily marketing blasts. We use notifications for three things: delivering your welcome discount, alerting you when new gear drops for your specific rig, and telling you when a part you saved is back in stock. That's it. Turn them off anytime in your phone settings — but you have to allow them at install for the welcome discount to reach you.

What's the catch?

How do I get my welcome discount? +
Two requirements: (1) Install the app on your phone. (2) Tap "Allow" when your phone asks about notifications. A welcome discount drops to your phone via push notification — new installers only, one-time use. If you don't allow notifications, we have no way to deliver it — you'd have to text us at 719-428-6837 and we'll send it manually. The notification path is faster and automatic.
I installed the app but didn't get the discount. What gives? +
Most likely: you skipped the "Allow Notifications" prompt at install. Without that permission, your phone blocks us from sending it. Fix: open your phone Settings → Notifications → find SxS Network → toggle Allow Notifications ON. Then text us at 719-428-6837 with the word "discount" and we'll resend it manually. We're working on an email backup so this doesn't happen, but for now it's a notifications-only delivery.
Is it really an app, or just a bookmark? +
It's a real app — Progressive Web App (PWA). Lives on your home screen, opens fullscreen with no browser bar, sends push notifications, works offline for product browsing. Same tech Twitter/X and Pinterest use.
Will you spam me with notifications? +
No. We use push for three things only: (1) your welcome discount, (2) when new gear drops for your specific saved machine, (3) when a part you saved is back in stock. No daily marketing. No "abandoned cart" pings every hour. You can disable any of these in app settings later, or turn off all notifications in your phone settings.
Does it cost anything? +
Nope. The app is free. The discount is free. There's no subscription, no in-app purchase. You just get a better way to shop SxS Network parts.
Why isn't it in the App Store? +
PWAs don't need the App Store. We skip the gatekeepers, you skip the download wait. Your phone treats it just like any installed app once it's on your home screen.
How much storage does it use? +
Less than 5 MB. Way less than a single Instagram update. The app caches recently-viewed products so you can browse offline at the trail.
Does it sync with my desktop? +
Your Garage profile syncs across phone and desktop on the same browser. Add a machine on your computer, see it instantly on your phone (and vice versa).
Can I uninstall it? +
Yeah, just like any app — long-press the icon → uninstall. Or in browser settings → installed apps → remove. Your shipping address and account stay safe in your Shopify customer profile.
