Rugged RDH16 - Business Band Two Way Handheld Radio - Digital and Analog is a 5-Watt Handheld Radio catering to racers, delivering crystal clear audio quality over a 1-3 mile range considering terrain. A 16-channel capacity radio, it is compatible with the existing accessory line from Rugged Radios through a 2-pin accessory port. Powered by a lithium ion battery, the RDH16 presents improved power efficiency with 40% more battery life than the analog version. The functionality is enhanced with automatic error correction that eliminates loud engine background noise and can also rebuild corrupted voice data. It ensures clear voice transmissions even at distances where analog radios fail. The RDH16 allows both digital and analog signals, facilitating an easy switch based on the communication need. Compatibility extends across radio models operating on the same band (UHF/VHF) including, but not limited to, RDM-DB, RDH-X, R1, V3, RH5R, Icom, Motorola, Kenwood etc. Contents include a dual band antenna, belt clip, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charging cradle, and AC adapter. It is FCC and CE certified, and requires a business license.
