Get Maximum Performance in Your HD11 with GDP Portals
Your Can-Am Defender HD11 is built to work hard and player harder, but there’s still room for improvement. SuperATV’s 8” GDP Portals are the ultimate upgrade. You get 8” of lift with a built-in gear reduction. This gives you more torque, better ground clearance, and the ability to run larger tires. Choose between a 45% and 60% gear reduction with a billet or cast housing for maximum power. Take it over the top with our dual-idler configuration that delivers ultimate strength with a 60% or 70% gear reduction.
What is a Dual Idler?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.
Take on any Terrain
The best part about our Defender HD11 8” GDP Portals is that you can choose a set that are tailored for your riding style. A 45%, 60%, or 70% gear reduction all give you serious power. You just have to pick one depending on how much torque and speed you’re looking for. You’ll get the power you need to take on rock crawling, the strength to spin oversized tires, and the control to push through deep mud with ease.
Protect Your Drivetrain with GDP Portals
We designed our Defender HD11 GDP Portals to put the gear reduction directly in the hub. This keeps your differential, prop shaft, and transmission safe from extra wear and tear. Plus, they keep the same suspension angle as stock, so your axles won’t overextend.
Strength that Can’t be Beat
Constant repairs are the last thing anyone wants. GDP Portals are engineered for durability, with a cast or billet aluminum housings and tough 5/16” backing plates made from advanced steel alloy. They’re designed to withstand hard use while the lifetime warranty gives you more confidence to ride as hard as you want.
Our housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow
Advanced steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly
Enhance with Portal Blood—gear oil formulated for GDP Portals
There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings
Our portals use
- Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
- A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
- 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
- Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
- Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
- Add a Frame Stiffener
Big tires and portals definitely take your Defender HD 11 to the next level, but they also put extra stress on your frame. A SuperATV Frame Stiffener helps reinforce your suspension so you can ride harder with added confidence.
