We know these machines are stressed beyond their designed capacity with increased power, tire size modifications, and extreme riding conditions. The cryogenically treated factory BRP gear is as good as it gets and has the best chance of holding up to the abuses of hard core riders, competition, and modifications that over stress the driveline.
We sent off a set of factory BRP gears tested to see if we could improve on their durability. The engineers said “that”™s a quality gear set. If you want to improve on it cryo is the way”.
Cryogenic treatment strengthens and enhances the mechanical characteristics of metal materials by using cryogenic temperatures (−185 °C (−301 °F)). Subjecting workpieces to these temperatures improves properties like wear resistance, strength, and stabilization.
Don”™t for get a new pinion seal, unfortunately destroying the old one is part of the processes of removing the pinion. Its a must have for pinion replacement.
